Because of the method of construction conversion to three rail of this bogie from a diesel loco was not straight forward. Pick ups from the wheel are integrated with the motor. This meant new pick ups for the wheels on one side. In practise the putty type tacky stuff proved ideal. There was no centre axle on the bogie, just bulges to indicate wheels.
