A conversion of a small chassis from an Bachmann Underground Ernie bogie. Small, and with little downward force a spring strip was not suitable. This rather over engineered gravity collector has the advantage of little if any downward force, and increased traction from a small bogie. Underground Ernie bogies are fairly low geared. It means they do not go too fast, but it also means that with sufficient traction force they are reasonable powerful.
